Jessie Gilbert

The 3rd Jessie Gilbert International Chess Festival Approaches – the full range of events run from Friday 20 to Monday 30 August although the main international is 21-29 August. Click this link for information – http://www.ccfworld.com/Chess/Adult%20Competitions/JessieGilbertCeleb_info.htm

The events are:
GM/IM NORM OPEN FIDE RATED SWISS
* Accelerated Swiss Pairings will be used to maximise realistic norm chances
* It’s a British Championship Qualifier
* One round per day starting at 2pm (except it’s 3-30pm on Monday 23rd).
SECTIONS FOR ALL (FIDE Rated where regulations allow)
* For players rated under 2000
* “A” event(s) from Saturday 21 to Tuesday 24 August (7 rounds)
* “B” event(s) from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 August (7 rounds)
* 2 rounds per day at 2pm and 6pm (only 1 round on the last day).

TO FINISH OFF …
* Open Rapid Play (Accelerated Pairings) on Monday 30 August at 10-45am
* Open Blitz on Monday 30 August at 6-30pm
