Chess on TV – from Stewart Reuben

It was good to see a giant chess set being used on BBC News at 1 to explain the concept of a hung parliament and the implications. It wasn’t used in a very effective manner. Better, for a super-sophisticated viewer, would have been to compare the balance of power between White having an extra queen and Black having an extra rook, bishop and pawn. Still, it is always good to see chess on TV – and they got the board around the right way! If anybody is able to explain to me the implication behind the use of a very brief chess image in an ad for Oral B dental hygiene, I would be grateful
