The 48th Thanet Chess Congress has 5 individual categories of entry and is also the Kent Individual Chess Championship. There will be more prize money than ever which is likely to be in the order of £2,500.00. Confirmation relating to the winner of the Open having a 2018 British Championship Qualifier place will be known in April. The congress directly follows on from Broadstairs Folk Week which ends at the start of the congress. Pre-booked accommodation is available at the venue together with ample free parking. There will be special concessionary rates for juniors. Website and printed application forms will be available from April 2017
