The 48th Thanet Chess Congress has 5 individual categories of entry and is also the Kent Individual Chess Championship. There will be more prize money than ever which is likely to be in the order of £2,500.00. Confirmation relating to the winner of the Open having a 2018 British Championship Qualifier place will be known in April. The congress directly follows on from Broadstairs Folk Week which ends at the start of the congress. Pre-booked accommodation is available at the venue together with ample free parking.
