The BCF Club of the Year 2001 Certificate

The Club of the Year Award was presented at the Wallasey Chess Club on 2nd May by Nick Hawkins, the BCF Marketing Director. They received a plaque, a certificate and a 12-month Corporate Vice President Membership of the BCF. Nick knows Wallasey well and said some very nice things about the Club and its Members.
It was also the club's Blitz Night (which Nick entered; he came joint first!) so there was a good attendance.
John Davies, the Merseyside Chess Association Secretary, also came along for the ceremony, and this was appreciated by the Club.
