In this the second year of this award we had an increased entry. The Judges
were impressed with the variety of material in the magazine and with the quality
of the desk top publishing. The winner of the award is En Passant, the magazine
for Norfolk County Chess Association and the editor is John Charman.
Of the other magazines the Judges commended The Middle Game, the magazine of
MCCU.
"The Chequered Board" the magazine of Cowley Chess Club.
