The match between Hastings and Hilsmark Kingfisher should have been played on 21 December but did not take place due to circumstances which could arguably have amounted to force majeure. The captains have agreed to play on 10 January and I have agreed to this and will deal with it in a way I will outline.
There need to be a preliminary round to bring the numbers down to 8. In the Championship this is achieved by pairing Tunbridge Wells (h) v The Holt and Maidstone (h) v Metropolitan. The winners will play each other in Round 3 but the venue depends on the outcome.
In the Minor there will be a match between Pentyrch (h) v Thornbury and the winner will play Bourne End with venue depending on outcome. The other match is between Writtle (h) and Milton Keynes with the winner away to Loughborough.
Closing date for Round 2 is 22 February and for round 3 18 April. Intended closing date for the semi finals is 13 June and the finals are due to take place on 4 July.
Please note:
For some reason teams always seem to leave fixtures to the last minute. There
is no objection of course, but it does leave little time for postponements in
emergencies. The time limits get tighter and I may not be so generous in agreeing
postponements later on.
If the dates for the matches has not been agreed by January 18 please contact me.
I think that’s about it. Good luck to all of you and the compliments of the season - Mike
