National Club Championships 2005/6 - Major Section

Congratulations to Bedford and Milton Keynes. Bedford won relatively straightforwardly, as the score suggests. Milton Keynes must have been expecting a similar score ; Maidstone were involved in all three finals and deserve credit for fielding three teams when a certain football match was competing for their attention. It was the Minor Team that suffered and the players who had got Maidstone to the final were otherwise engaged ; three of their team were juniors. You can see what happened ! For a very long time it looked as though MK could be held to a draw ; I was watching those three juniors and they played their socks off. I will look forward to seeing a Maidstone Juniors team before very long !
