Golders Green Rapidplay, 16 October 2004

Since we’ve been going continuously for over twelve years, we recently did some maths and worked out that this is the 158th monthly rapidplay we have held at Golders Green! That probably makes us the longest-running rapid chess tournament in the UK.

This month, 79 players competed over four sections.

In total, £430.00 in prizes were awarded. All scores are out of six games; ungraded players (UNG) may only win 50% of a prize, the balance going to graded players. Female players (F), Juniors (J) and Veterans (V) are marked where known. Half an hour per player per game. Swiss system (i.e. not a knockout).

NEXT MONTHLY RAPIDPLAY EVENT: November 13th 2004.
NEXT MONTHLY ‘FIRST THURSDAY’ HENDON BLITZ: Thursday 4th November. Please note that from January 2005 the blitz will change format – check our website for details.
