Golders Green Rapidplay, 11 September 2004

83 players, including the newly crowned Russian Grandmaster Alexander Cherniaev competed over four sections, and we had two celebrity ‘fillers’; International Master Colin Crouch (just off the train from the Paignton International tournament) and former national Grand Prix winner Dave Rumens, who played a couple of games.

In total, £440.00 in prizes were awarded. All scores are out of six games; ungraded players (UG) may only win 50% of a prize, the balance going to graded players. Female players (F), Juniors (J) and Veterans (V) are marked where known. Half an hour per player per game. Swiss system (i.e. not a knockout).

NEXT MONTHLY RAPIDPLAY EVENT: 16th October 2004.
NEXT MONTHLY ‘FIRST THURSDAY’ HENDON BLITZ: Thursday 7th October.
