At 10:00 am on 5 December over 75 junior chess players gathered at the Huyton Civic Suite to compete in the 3rd Knowsley Junior Quick Play Tournament. The young chess enthusiasts, all aged 12 years and under, travelled from all over the North West and beyond to compete in this prestigious tournament. With St Margaret Marys and Park View Primary Huyton represented on the day.
There were 3 categories and after 6 rounds the Deputy Mayor of Knowsley, Councillor Jim Keight, was on hand to present the prizes and trophies to the following category winners and runners up.
