Midlands Junior Chess League

The Midlands Junior Chess League has finally started with all the clubs in the league having played at least one division 1 or division 2 match. Birmingham Checkmate managed to beat Worcester Junior Chess Academy 5-0 at home, though the score doesn't reflect how tight the match actually was. Solihull Checkmate then beat St John's Church 5-0 in division 2 and St John's Church also lost again in division 1, losing 5-0 at home to the division 1 favourites Birmingham Checkmate. The next few matches sees Birmingham Checkmate at home in the derby game against Solihull, Solihull travelling to Worcester to see which of the two teams can challenge Birmingham for the Division1 title and Birmingham travel to Woircester to see if they can inflict another whitewash.

Below are the leagues table for the first few matches of the season.
