This year stourbridge chess club will be holding the inuegral Stourbridge Junior Chess Summer Camp. This will take place on August 16th and 23rd and will begin from 7.15pm till 9pm. Any members wishing to play on those dates can do so in the bar.
Should any of you know any Juniors who would benefit from this summer camp, then give them my telephone numbers or e-mail address as i will need to know who is coming prior to the summer camp starting.
At this camp we will of course offer qualified coaching, play chess (as is the tradition!) and possibly have some sort of tournament in the second week, maybe even a simul against me! (if you wish to attend and get beat by me then you are more than welcome). Each junior will get a certificate for passing the course and also will be allowed to join Stourbridge Chess Club for the first season, free. If they do join, i will continue to give coaching and other members are welcome to join in.
The price for this event will be £5 per junior payable on the first visit which of course includes Stourbridge Chess providing the room and equipment.
This is a fantastic offer for any junior from beginner to advanced as all juniors will be able to take advantage of my experienced coaching and considerable ability to play chess.
