Godalming Chess Club Open Tournament, 1st September 2007

About sixty players from as all over the south travelled to Aldro School in Shackleford to play in this annual tournament.
There were 4 sections with adults and juniors playing in the Open section and 3 age group sections. Godalming club members were on hand to supervise the games and parents from Aldro School provided some delicious refreshments.

Under 10 section 23 players
1st Edward Smart (Yateley Manor) 4.5\5
2nd= Elliott Ghent, Robert Hewett and James Whitton (Aldro) 4\5

Under 9 section 12 players
1st Alex Anderton (Magdalen) 4.5\5
2nd= Henry Philips (MCS) and Lydia Malam (Twickenham) 4\5
