The First Titled Player out of the Renaissance Academy

I would like to show you a true Champion. This Champion is not the WBC Light Welterweight Champion of the World Junior "The Hitter" Witter (see the picture attached) its Undercliffe Chess Club's own Amy "The Smug Phoenix" Greenhough. After winning 4 out of 6 matches at the Yorkshire Girl's selection tournament at Alcuin School Amy "The Smug Phoenix" Greenhough is now the newest titled player in Bradford and the first titled player for the Renaissance Academy (Within 9 Months of setting up), and has become, the Under 14's Girls Champion of West Yorkshire.

A huge thanks to John Hipshon for running such a fantastic event and we look forward to supporting this tournament in the future with many more Girls coming through our ranks.

We believe this is the start of a great chess career that will propel Amy to the highest accolades.

Regards

Charles W Wood
