GM Tournament in Rijeka, 14-21 December 2008

Dear Sirs,

I am im Goran Mufic from Rijeka, Croatia. First, sorry for my english. I shall try to write correct. I am the president of chess club "Junior" and also chess organizer, coach etc. I am also the secretary of Croatian Association of Friendship of County Primorsko-goranska and the Great Britain.

We shall organize gm tournament in Rijeka from 14th till 21st of December 2008. I would like to have one british grandmaster (minimum elo 2500 points) as a player at my tournament. Our Association of Friendship will pay hotel's accommodation (full board pansion) plus extra fee (incl. travelling expenses) euro 600. Of course, the winners at the round-robin tournament of 10 players will get some prizes in a cash. On our regret we cannot afford better conditions.

If some fm or im player from England (with huge elo) is interested to play, he can play on own account if I know his name at time.

Rijeka is situated at the warm Adriatic coast near by Slowenia and Italy.You can use the smaller airport Rijeka (Krk), airport of our capital Zagreb, airport Trieste (Ronchi dei legionari) in Trieste-one hour by car from Rijeka or airport Ljubljana in Slowenia-three hours by bus from Rijeka.

I hope that one of yours gms will be interested to come into Croatia and play at our gm tournament!?
