— from Roger Scowen
The European Senior Team Chess Championship 2018 will take place from 13th-23rd April 2018, in Wałbrzych, Poland. Members of ECF are invited to play in a 4- or 5-player team in a 50+ or 65+ team.
(I think there will not be many countries playing, but probably including most of Russia, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, and Italy)
If you would like to play, email Roger Scowen at firstname.lastname@example.org, stating whether you
prefer a 4-player team (play in all rounds) or a 5-player team (a few days off for tourism). And
if you were born in the year 1953 or earlier would you be willing to play in the over 50 event.
The event consists of two separated Championships for categories 50+ (for players who were born in the year 1968 or earlier) and 65+ ( for players who were born in the year 1953 or earlier). The Championship will be played in 9 rounds, Swiss system, with time control 90 min for 40 moves, 30 min for the rest of the game, and 30 sec increment for every move played starting from move one; each game starts at 1430 or 1500
