The ECF are delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Frostick as Manager of Female Social Media.
Speaking about the appointment, Chis Fegan, Director of Women’s Chess said, ‘I am really pleased that Helen is the first appointment I am able to announce. She will be a crucial member of the new Women’s Management team that I am constructing to ensure a firm voice for women in all ECF activity’
Helen has vast experience of chess playing and the chess world, having been involved for over 30 years and also having represented England internationally at many age levels, including at the European Championships. Most recently she was a member of the very successful medal winning women’s team at the World Senior Championships in Radebeul, Germany.
Helen will be communicating directly with female players of all ages and abilities to ensure that their voices are heard and ideas exchanged – this will also include non-competition players, social players, and indeed any interested female members of the public who wish to interact and join the growing ECF female chess community.
Helen Frostick said, ‘I am looking forward to taking on this role with the ECF, and to being able to support and encourage females to communicate, and bring their voices, to raise the profile of female chess. We will provide a female specific platform where ideas and information can be exchanged. I am looking forward to hearing your views and news.’
