This popular five round event consists of three sections, Open, Major and Minor. The Open and Major are both FIDE rated. In response to the popular demand BBCA has switched to incremental time control replacing the previous fixed time control system. All rounds of the ECF graded Open & Major sections will be played with 10-minute plus five-second incremental time control. Entry fee is only £20 for adults and £15 for juniors for both sections. However, all players are required to be ECF Silver and above members. All other players, including foreign players with FIDE ID, must pay an additional £7.50 with the entry fee. Discounted entry fee is available for BBCA members. Attractive 1st and 2nd prizes along with several grading prizes are available in Open and Major sections.
