An amber wheelchair (below) means that the venue has at least some disability-friendly aspects, whereas a green wheelchair (also below) means it’s particularly so. ECF graded children’s chess tournament with training in-between matches by experienced chess coaches. This event will be run under the supervision of experienced arbiter Marc Shaw with support from other coaches. This event is aimed at players starting to play competitive games and capable of recording at least the opening of their games. Please bring a scoring book and a pen to record your chess moves. The emphasis is on finding ways to improve using their own games as a starting point, with advice and improvements offered as well as explanations of why moves are played | Entry form

Chess960 (or Fischer Random Chess) is a variant of chess invented and advocated by former World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer. It uses the same board and pieces as standard chess; however, the starting position of the pieces is randomised.
This will be a Swiss format tournament of 6 rounds, 10 minutes per player per game. £100 1st, £50 2nd, £25 × 2 rating prizes. All positions pre-drawn and provided before Round 1
