Bughouse (Exchange) chess is a variation of chess played with two teams of two people on two chess boards.
Entry fee is £15.00 per person or £30.00 per team. Both individual and team applications are accepted. Individuals who do not have a teammate can still enroll and they will be paired on the day of the tournament. A maximum of 10 teams will be accepted. The prize fund will total about 60% of the entry fees taken and will be set during the first round

This is a two day junior training camp timed for the start of the school holidays and the week before the British Championships. The days are designed for children to be left although there is a separate room for parents if wanted. Places are limited to 30. IM Richard Pert will lead the coaching assisted by local junior coach Robin Slade and popular female coach Lateefah Messam-Sparks. The ECU School Chess Teacher training course comprises two days of interactive presentations, group discussions and practical exercises. The focus of the course is on how to teach chess. The course is suitable for teachers and tutors who want to make chess an exciting and educational experience for children.
The ECU School Chess Teacher Certificate is available to those who complete the course and pass an online test taken at the end of the course. The Certificate is endorsed by the European Chess Union (ECU) to recognise that the individual has an adequate level of chess knowledge and is familiar with didactical methods for the classroom.
The course is innovative in content and delivery and was developed after a review of best practice in Europe. The course leader is IM Jesper Hall. Attendees give very positive feedback on the course.
