The London Chess Conference remains the world’s foremost meeting point for co-operation and the exchange of ideas and networking with like-minded people. This H+H Fire U14 Train and Play Christmas Special will be hosted as usual by IM Richard Pert with local junior coach Robin Slade. Our Guest Coach for the event will be Women’s Grandmaster Dagne Ciuksyte. There will be a formal coaching session and a chance to analyse games after they finish but the main event of the day is a 4 round, 16 team rapidplay competition. Juniors will be joined in the teams by their adult relatives for this (ungraded) event and the teams will be balanced to try and ensure an even contest. The emphasis will be on a fun day’s chess to finish off the year.

This prestigious event has sections for Under 10 and Under 14. There are also sections for Under 8, Under 12, Under 16 and Under 18/21 on 28th, 29th and 30th December at the same venue.
The Under 10 play 7 rounds over the two days. Competitors must gain qualification to play in the Under 10 as detailed at The Under 14 play six rounds. These sections attract a large entry and both are run with Major and Minor divisions. The LJCC Charitable Trust also run the Northwick Park Congress at the same venue and at the same time.
