RIP Maxwell Fuller

Max was born 28 January 1945 and died 27 August 2013. He had been in poor health for some years and had a stroke very recently, from which he never recovered. Max lived in London for some years in the 1970s and was very active on the chess scene. He represented Australia nine times in the Chess Olympiad. He had not been internationally active since April 2006. He was a FIDE Master, and a gentle man with a fine sense of humour. He seldom got ruffled, and was helpful to the young British players, of whom there were many around at that time. Our condolences to his family and many friends, particularly in Australia.
