23rd July – 6th August – British Championships in Bournemouth

18th November – 1st December – World 50+ 65+ Individual Championship
Marianske Lazne, Czech Republic.

Several people have already expressed interest in the two team championships. I very much doubt we will have adequate funds to send really strong teams to both 50+ events. We do have substantial support for the World 50+ Team Championship in Dresden already. If you would like us to have the very best team that can be raised, then you should make a donation to the ECF, making it clear it is for this purpose, and copying me in.

If you are thinking of playing in either or both team tournaments, please let me know. Teams are of 4 or 5 players. If you are willing to play in either, that makes it far more flexible. It is also possible to organise a team of specific players, perhaps, for example, from the same club.

Players should usually be at least 140 / 1700 strength. All entrants must be at least Gold members of the ECF
