Shreyas Royal, aged just 15, is set to become England’s 41st grandmaster and the youngest ever, beating GM David Howell’s record, after achieving his final GM norm in the British Chess Championship. His notable results in the Championship included defeating Howell, and drawing with the eventual winner Gawain Jones, and top GMs Luke McShane and Michael Adams. Many congratulations to Shreyas!
