The English Chess Federation (ECF) is the governing organisation for chess in England and is affiliated to FIDE (the Fédération Internationale des Échecs). We run the English national rating system, where you can get an official rating for games played in rated over the board and online events. We also run national chess events across England, as well as selecting and entering teams for international competitions.
