Arbiters – Call of Interest for the BCC and the Glorney Cup

The 2024 British Chess Championship will be held in Hull with the first competitions starting in the evening of Thursday 25th July 2024 with the final games being played on Sunday 4th August 2024. There are many competitions held as part of the British Championship festival as there are rating-limited, Rapidplay and Blitz events as well as the British, Senior and Junior Championships. There is a requirement for Arbiters for all of these events.

We appreciate that people may not be able to get enough time off to cover the whole of the championships. This is not a problem because some of the events will take place during only part of the span of the festival. If you wish to express an interest, please include the days that you are available to arbit.

The Glorney Cup together with the Gilbert Cup, Robinson Cup and Stokes Cup will also be held in Hull prior to the British Championships. These are junior competitions held annually and this year it is England’s turn to play host. They will be held from the 23rd to 25th July at the University in Hull.

If you are interested in arbiting at either or both events please complete the Expression of Interest form by 29th March here – https://britchess.wufoo.com/forms/british-arbiters-expression-of-interest-2024/
