A new facility to inspect the Calculation of Voting Entitlement for Council Members is available in the Council Database here.
This enables Council representatives and officials or organisations (or indeed anyone else) to inspect the way in which voting allocations have been derived and see the rated chess events that have been taken into account as well as showing organisations that have “donated” their rated games to particular Council Members. These figures are provisional calculations for the September 2023 to October 2024 and organisation representatives (and others) are invited to send details of errors, omissions or queries to the Voting Register Officer Email: vro@englishchess.org.uk.
We shall aim to address all issues notified to us before the date of the Annual General Meeting by that date. Please note, however, that the VRO is abroad from 12 to 26 September so replies may be delayed.
