Finance Council Meeting 27th April 2024 – to ECF Council Members
This notice is a reminder of the arrangements for the next Finance Council meeting that will be held on 27th April 2024. The meeting will be a video-conference meeting only. At the time of writing, I anticipate that the meeting, amongst the usual administrative items, will cover the following:
- The annual accounts for the year ended 31st August 2023 for the ECF, BCF and Chess Centre Ltd
- The Finance Director’s report
- Budget for future years
- Proposed membership fees for 2024-25
- Report of the Chair of the Finance Committee
- Explanation of the proposed use of the government grant from the DCMS
- Proposals to enable clubs to become members of the ECF Council
- Changes to Procedural Bye-laws, including arrangements for nominations relating to elections
- Changes to the status of the British Chess Federation following the transfer of assets to the Chess Trust
I remind members that any motions, which should be finance related, that you may wish to be considered at the meeting need to be received by the Chair of Council by 21st March 2024. The agenda and supporting papers will be issued by 3rd April 2024.
