Development of the ECF Women’s Chess Progress Plan

The ECF Board will this weekend formally launch their proposals for the Future of English Women’s Chess at the Chess and Female Empowerment Conference, which is being held at the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith.
Speaking ahead of the launch of the document, ECF Director of Womens Chess, Chris Fegan said, ‘ I  am delighted that this document will be formally launched at the Chess and Female Empowerment Conference this coming weekend. The ECF Board has been working on the proposals for many months and these are now out for consultation with ECF members and the wider chess community. The Board welcomes contributions to these crucial discussions, and will revise the document as necessary over the next few months, taking into account all the feedback we receive, with an intention to put a final version of the document for approval by the ECF Council next year’.
